Charlotte's Story

The Charlotte Maxwell Clinic is named in honor of Charlotte Maxwell, who died of ovarian cancer in 1988. Charlotte strongly believed that the integrative cancer care that enhanced the quality of her life in her last months should be accessible to all Bay Area low-income, underserved women with cancer.

Help Us help Others

Complementary integrative cancer care is rarely covered under health care plans or offered at local county hospitals. Without the Charlotte Maxwell Clinic, low-income women with cancer would not have access to these treatments. We also offer critical support services, transportation to and from the clinic, fresh organic produce and food, interpretation and educational workshops.  Find out more
