Open Staff Positions

Receptionist

Charlotte Maxwell Clinic (CMC) is a state licensed holistic health clinic that provides free integrative medicine treatments and social services to underserved women with cancer. Our services include acupuncture, Chinese and western herbs, homeopathy, massage therapy, therapeutic imagery, plus social services, transportation, and organic foods.

Our receptionist will greet and schedule clients; coordinate volunteer practitioners; and manage clinic operations and inventory.

Duties Include:

  • Coordinate weekend shifts at the clinic as assigned by the Clinical Care Manager. Your work week will be Thursday, Friday, Sunday, as well as the monthly Wednesday staff and case management meetings.
  • Interact with clients, supervise volunteers, coordinate with other staff in order to help meet clients’ needs.
  • Physically set up rooms, do room assignments of practitioners, pull charts, file charts, set up food donations and snacks and clean up after shift.
  • Management of scheduling system of clients and act as primary point person for Client Services staff for client database management.
  • Schedule clients for appointments and provide input into case management meetings to prioritize client services and to better meet clients’ needs.
  • Assist Volunteer Services Director in scheduling volunteers.
  • Administrative duties and database entry.
  • Assist volunteer Shift Coordinators in finding fill in shift coordinators when needed. Be prepared to fill in as a back-up shift coordinator in the event a fill in cannot be found or unexpectedly cancels.

Qualifications & Position Attributes:

  • Warm, compassionate, caring demeanor;
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills, in interpersonal, group and public settings;
  • Excellent phone manners and skills;
  • Detail oriented;
  • Flexible;
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office products & Email;
  • Commitment to working in a team environment;
  • Familiarity with integrative medicine desired.
  • Previous front desk experience preferred.

18 hours/week. Salary range: $17-19/hour.
