Our dear friend Eileen Hansen passed away on April 29th. Our hearts and heartfelt condolences go out to her family and friends. Eileen was a strong, clear, extremely intelligent, kind, compassionate human being. She was an amazing woman and long time tenacious activist. Eileen worked tirelessly helping people figure out how to consciously balance integrity, efficiency and kindness all the time aware of the intersection of race, class, gender and sexual identity. She supported CMC in so many ways for many, many years, serving as an interim executive director, strategic consultant and board advisor. We are deeply honored and grateful to have known and worked with her. Her passing reminds us of life’s tenacity and fragility. We will miss her and love her always.
A public memorial will take place Wednesday, June 8th from 5pm-9pm at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco, 1187 Franklin Street, San Francisco 94109. Please join us and celebrate her life.
